Monthly Recap: February 2015

Hello again! Hope all of you lovelies had a fun February and will enjoy an even better March. Not much is going on with me, but here some updates:

  • I passed a major exam to get my Series 6 license. That basically means I can sell certain investments, but as a banker I’ll use it mostly to refer clients to my financial adviser. The goal is to (hopefully) start bringing in more $$$, which = more books.
  • I bought my ticket to UtopYA! I’ll be going with Wendy, Jess, and Tonya, and they’re convinced we are gonna go line dancing, and I’m convinced I better be drunk first.
  • I saw The D.U.F.F. and thought it was really cute and funny! Mae Whitman was the bright spot. But you know if it were a book (I hear the actual book is much different) I would have had series issues with Wesley Rush’s actions toward the end. I guess I can be more forgiving with movies.
  • I got my parents hooked on Game of Thrones but I’m their talking Wikipedia every time they watch a new episode. It’s kinda funny because they can’t keep all the characters and details straight. They’re watching season 4 now and it’s been a doozy trying to refresh their memories.
  • I have a new favorite scent! Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs. <3 I normally don’t wear perfume, but I’m kinda obsessed with this one.

As for my bookish life…

I read the Sweet Trilogy by Wendy Higgins. For March I’m going to read the last five books of the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. I’ve been meaning to finish that series for a while now!

  • Debut Author: (1) The Leveller by Julia Durango

  4. You did well this month! Congratulations on the exam, that’s brilliant news! Hopefully better pay will make you happier and get you more books too! You’re books too, I confess, I enjoyed the Sweet Trilogy more than you, but I’m pleased you enjoyed Summer of Chasing Mermaids, I have that myself and can’t wait to read it closer to release date! Great month, and hopefully March is lovely too! :)

  5. I’m excited to read Tessa Ever After. I was going to start it this weekend, but finals are coming up, so I’ll pick it up over spring break. Yay for passing your exam and getting your parents hooked on GoT. Isn’t it the funniest thing when your parents watch the same shows as you do!

I’m a little excited about seeing The DUFF despite the changes they did in the movie.

I do plan on watching Game of Thrones but I don’t know when exactly. I hope I can keep up with all the characters when I do, though. Hehe

  7. Congratulations on passing your exam Danielle, I totally approve of all the book buying this will enable you to do. I can’t wait for season 5 of Game of Thrones to start, I think I will need to come to you too for a recap of season 4, as I’ll have probably forgotten everything by the time it rolls around. Also I can’t wait to read Things We Know by Heart. Do let me know if you want to read it together! I promise to try and keep up with your super speed reading skills! I hope you have a great reading month in March!
